Who I am.......

I am a creative type and I enjoy many avenues of creative outlets!
Things I do & I love:

• Archival Photo books
• I am a mom, a cook, a baker, and a soy candle stick maker!

I have always been a create type starting as a young girl. My mom, my hero, taught me to sew, cook, bake and to be inspired to create outside of the store bought packages. I remember as a girl, shopping with my mom, she would say......"We can do THAT" or "We can make THAT"...and we would make it! 90% of the time it would be much better than the store bought version. It was always about the challenge to be creative. So began my life long pursuit of creative outlets.

Although today, because I am a single mom and I am choosing to stay home (for as long as I can afford to). I am re-creating my life so I am able to be at home for my daughter when she needs me the most.

I went back to school and got my graphic/ website design degree and I have since added computer graphics to my creative resume. This was such a great fit for me. Because I have always had a propensity towards computers, adding Adobe Creative Suite to my creative base just opened a whole new creative outlet. I love my computer and my CS5!

Like I said, because of my mothers' creative nurturing, I love to sew and create clothing & accessories out of throw away items-I "upcycle" too. I also design & sew home decor items like curtains, pillows, and bedding and of course my daughters halloween costumes! She was three different animals this year.

I will post pictures of my lastest creative adventures and hopefully inspire others to be creative too. Most projects do not cost a lot of money either, usually you will have the items at home already. Hopefully, when you see something at the store you will say "I can do THAT' or "I can make THAT"! Then go home and do it!
